About The Blog Medic
Avoid needing to give your blog a quadruple bypass later in life by starting with a healthy lifestyle. We’re not talking about an apple and 30 minutes of exercise a day - that’s for yourself. Rather, good compliant code for your template, thoughtful search engine optimisation, some exciting posts and a lively community surrounding you.
The Blog Medic’s Crew
I’m Vero Pepperrell and I head The Blog Medic’s crew.
In 1994, I launched my first website, a tiny 4-page fan site for the Cirque du Soleil. It was nothing much but I was excited by this new medium of communication, one that allowed us to share our passion for a given topic to people all around the world.
In 2000, I created my first blog, which has since evolved into That Canadian Girl, where I write about technology, marketing, sprinkling liberally with personal rants and cat photos. In those 8 years writing for leisure, then as a freelancer and finally as a corporate blogger, I’ve truly enjoyed writing and tinkering with blogs.
I co-founded Pepsmedia, a web development & marketing agency, in 2005. Through Pepsmedia, I offer blog coaching, as well as setup & design. I’m a geek at heart but appreciate the challenges non-techies face when launching themselves into social media and new technologies, in particular in the corporate environment where expectations are high, but support and understanding aren’t so brilliantly high.
